Current Fares

Baltimore Buses, Light Rail, or Metro Subway

  • One-way fare $1.60, or 1 token (MTA will continue to accept tokens until conversion to new fare boxes)
  • Day Passes, which entitle you to unlimited rides on Baltimore area Buses, Light Rail, or Metro Subway are $3.50
  • Weekly Passes for Baltimore area Buses, Light Rail, or Metro Subway are $16.50
  • Monthly Passes (Regular) for Baltimore area Buses, Light Rail, or Metro Subway are $64.00

  • Disability Day Pass $1.20
  • Monthly Disability Pass is $16.50.
  • Monthly College Pass $39.00 (For students enrolled at particpating schools only.  Passes are only sold on-site at participating schools. Certain rules apply.) 
  • Paratransit Ticket Book - 20 Tickets for $37.00. Paratransit Ticket Books may be purchased at the Lobby Transit Store located at 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore MD 21202
  • Paratransit (Full Fare $1.85) (Book of 20 - $37.00)
  • School Program (Students in participating schools) Full Fare one way $1.10
  • Up to two children under the age of six may ride free with each person paying the full fare. Children age 6 and above (except those in the School Program) pay full fare.
  • Currently, WMATA SmarTrip® cards are not accepted as fare media by MTA.  Once MTA implements the use of smart cards, SmarTrip® will also be accepted on MTA local services.
